In Japanese, OISHII stands for delicious - and this winter it's going to be tasty at the Widder Hotel. Outside, temperatures are lowering, the cold months are arriving in Zurich and the annual flagship Pop Up opens in the Bel Etage of the Widder Hotel. The 2019/2020 season is dedicated to Japanese tastes: Japanese Hot Pot à la Façon Ruinart. But the choice of drinks is still there - and rightly so! The traditional ShabuShabu dish can be experienced in the OISHII with the matching Ruinart champagne accompaniment. This year, the designer brand MADE.COM is offering space for this culinary journey of enjoyment, with a unique interior that creates an authentic ambience.
From the 08th of November 2019 to the 14th of February 2020, you are invited to be seduced to Japan directly at the Rennweg for visual and culinary delights. The traditional winter dish "ShabuShabu" from East Asia will be served similar to a fondue chinoise and set up in the middle of the table for "self cooking". Ito-Konnyaku ( noodles made of Konjak-flour) meet thin fillet of beef, lobster tails, salmon and asian vegetables like Pak Choi or Shitake mushrooms in the iron pot. Infused with a lime miso stock and complemented with soy sauce and coriander Chimi Churri, the Nabemono (Hotpot) becomes a culinary experience and ensures warm feelings and good table discussions.
